Have you ever stopped to think about the impact your friends have on you. On who you are, the things you see, the people you know as a result of your friends, how those people become your friends too. I don't know what has me deep in thought lately, but I seem to be pondering life's grander concepts as of late.
Earlier musings include - can you get anything across in less than 2 words, which someone has not already made cliche?
What's up with the gender bias in the battered women's defense? Why can't the standard be the same for men who are battered, even if the numbers are lower? Do we only care to protect people if they are the ones affected by a harm the majority of the time? What is a majority?
Why do gay men place so much emphasis on sex when they come out? Do straight people think the same way? Do you have to have sex with someone to determine your sexuality? What if you think you are gay/straight, and have sex and decide you hate it, does it mean you are wrong for loving someone your body cannot accept? Do we force our bodies to accept? What makes us gay? What makes us straight? If I can't answer these questions does it mean I am bi? What happened to falling in love with someone?
What is love? Can you be in love without being loved back, or does that defy the meaning of being in love? If you must be in love with someone else, what then would you call the feeling we have toward others, sometimes without explanation, that makes you just want to be around them and make them happy? Where are the consequences of not returning someone's love? What if you don't know they love you? Are you obligated to acknowledge that someone else has feelings for you?
